Wine Review - Kirkland Napa 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

Purchased this from Costco today and was looking forward to a decent cab.  Price was $12.99 at our local Costco store.

To start off with, this wine was much bolder than we anticipated, had a rich and dry finish as well.

This particular blend/bottle was cellared and bottled by DC Flynt MW Selections, find them at DC Flynt Selections.  They have many ratings of Kirkland wines on their website.

The fruit for the 2008 Kirkland Napa Cabernet comes from vineyards in the heart of Napa Valley.  With a hint of vanilla and spice along with black currant we were not disapppointed with the bottle.  With supple tannin and a good balanced acidity we would give this bottle an overall rating of 6.5.

Certainly worth trying for only $12.99.  We paired our first bottle with a great meat lasagna and garlic bread.
