2005 Campus Oaks Reserve Old Vine Zinfandel - Wine Review

The great thing about this wine is the vineyard is about 15 minutes from our house at Gnekow Family Winery.  This is a really great inexpensive wine that can be paired with just about any meal.  We paid $96/case, $8 a bottle at the vineyard but you can find it at your local beverage store anywhere from $8-$10.  It is the Reserve so it has been aged for 12 months in oak barrels and I would consider it a medium bodied red.  It has a lively fruit forward palate with a rich blackberry and cherry flavor.  It has a very smooth soft finish.  Try this one out, you will not be disappointed.
