2008 Pascual Toso Malbec - Wine Review

We tried this wine for the first time a few years back based on a recommendation from the owner of a wine store in Texas.  We are big fans of reds from Argentina and this one did not let us down.  We paired it with rosemary roasted chicken and rice and it was just perfect.

The vineyard of Pascual Toso was founded in the mid 1880's in Mendoza Argentina and has been producing quality, affordable wines for over 130 years.

The black malbec grapes in this wine create a rustic, sincere medium bodied wine with hints of coffee, violets and blackberry.  The wine is spicy and rich and has a very long finish.  At around $9.99 a bottle this is a must have malbec.
