2007 Valley of the Moon Cuvee de la Luna - Wine Review

I purchased a few bottles of this wine recently on the recommendation of the wine store we shop at.  It is a 69% cabernet, 19% merlot, 7% malbec and 5% cabernet franc.  We did not get a chance to visit this winery the last time we were in Sonoma but based on how great this wine tasted will definitely visit it the next time we are in the valley.  The Valley of the Moon Winery produces ultra premium Sonoma wines that embrace both old and new world techniques.

Due to the broad spectrum of red grapes this wine has, it would pair well with just about any meal, from fish to meat or just some great cheese.  Aromas of black cherry and plum and hints of bay leaf mix with sweet tobacco to give this wine its full bodied taste.

At $15-$20 a bottle, we would certainly recommend this wine and will definitely be trying others from the Valley of the Moon Winery.
