Wine Review - Stone Mill 2007 Petite Sirah

We recently purchased this Stone Mill 2007 Petite Sirah at The Market at Pavillions in Lodi for around $17.99.  A good Sirah is a hard thing to pass up but this one should be avoided.

It is produced and bottled by Iron Diamond Vineyards in Collegeville, CA.

While we have purchased many wines from Lodi, most are very good, this one left quite a bit to be desired.  We paired it with a red sauce pasta dish and it definitely left a mark in the form of a headache.  At first taste the wine was not bad, we had let the bottle air for about 30-45 minutes.  But after the second and third drink you could definitely taste the tannins.

To make a long story short, avoid at least this bottle from this vineyard.
