Bottle cost at the vineyard was $45. Now you say, wow was it that good and the answer is no it was just ok. We had this bottle with a blackened Talapia dinner. The wine was pretty dry and strong (not usually a bad thing). I generally mark our bottles, where we get them, cost, date and when we tasted. I was quickly reminded it was not our normal under $20 bottle of wine. It did go well with the fish and definitely brought out the blackened and spicy fish but was just a little too much for our taste.
Definitely a good wine, but only if you can find it at your local wine seller for under $20. Otherwise I would pass on it.
The vineyard and tasting room were very nice and definitely should be a stopping point when you are in Napa. The website is below.
